What is the difference between Financing and Lease to Own?

Financing – Make low monthly payments with approved credit. Many plans include no interest for a set time, and you’ll own it from day one.

Lease-to-Own – No credit needed! Just make simple weekly or monthly payments, and the item is yours once the lease is complete.

Which option is best to try first?

This all depends on the person. If you know you have good credit then you would definitely want to try the Synchrony application first as it gives the best options for lower payments and lower interest. Affirm is also a good option for better payments and interest amounts and does not run credit for the approval. If you are unsure of your credit it never hurts to give Synchrony a try because it does not actually run your credit until you accept the credit offer.

If you do happen to get denied for Synchrony, know you may not have good credit, or already have a good payment history with any of the Lease-to-Own options you could start there as they offer pay later options to many more people. The payments and leasing fees may be slightly higher but most offer a 90 to 120 day early pay out option that is almost the same as a no-interest plan.

How long does it take to get an approval? Can I purchase online after approved?

The approvals for all finance and lease-to-own options is usually immediate unless other information may be needed. Synchrony, Paypal, and Affirm allow you to purchase online and make payments. Any of the other Lease-to-Own options you would need to contact the store to complete the purchase but do not have to come in the store as the paperwork can be sent to your cell phone or email to complete the purchase.
